Grain Merchandiser

Our client is seeking a Commodity Trading Grain and Feed Merchandiser to join their strong trading team. This role focuses on market engagement, relationship management, and disciplined execution while operating within established guidelines and risk parameters.

Responsibilities

• Drive trading activity within assigned commodities/territories to achieve solid financial results
• Monitor market drivers that influence pricing movement
• Share relevant market updates and activity with internal stakeholders
• Maintain awareness of applicable trading rules and ensure full adherence
• Operate within established guidelines, limits, and reporting expectations for all positions and results
• Coordinate efficient and cost-conscious movement of commodities
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture business, economics, finance, or a related field
• Two to four years of experience in commodity trading
• Ability to maintain a positive approach and motivate others
• Working knowledge of commodity markets including futures and cash structures
• Understanding of grain movement, transportation dynamics, and market opportunities
• Ability to manage customer relationships in a professional manner
