Location Manager - Grain

Our client is looking for a Location Manager to lead day-to-day operations and grain origination at a local facility. This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and assets while driving origination growth, maintaining strong producer relationships, and ensuring the location operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily location operations including receiving, storage, loading, logistics, and basic facility maintenance
• Lead grain origination efforts by building and maintaining strong relationships with local producers and customers
• Co-manage P&L performance at the location level, including margins, costs, and operational efficiency
• Supervise, coach, and hold accountability for location staff across operations and customer-facing functions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with merchandising, logistics, and risk management teams to support commercial objectives
• Monitor grain quality, inventory, and space management to optimize throughput and asset utilization
• Serve as the primary point of contact for producers, truckers, and internal stakeholders at the location

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in grain operations, origination, or facility management
• Proven experience managing people and leading a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of grain handling, logistics, and origination economics
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with producers and commercial partners
• Solid financial and operational decision-making skills
• High level of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail
