Mill Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Mill Manager to provide operational leadership for a commercial feed manufacturing facility producing a diverse portfolio of commercial animal feed products. This individual will strengthen operational performance by leading the production team, improving efficiency, coaching employees, and applying deep feed manufacturing expertise to support continued business growth.

Responsibilities


  • Provide day-to-day leadership for all mill production activities while promoting a safe operating environment
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees to strengthen technical knowledge, operational consistency, and overall team performance
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve scheduling, equipment utilization, and manufacturing processes
  • Serve as the primary operational leader for the facility and provide direction during routine production as well as equipment or process challenges
  • Apply extensive feed manufacturing knowledge to troubleshoot production, quality, and process issues
  • Support quality standards by identifying root causes of production concerns and implementing practical corrective actions
  • Utilize experience with Premier Tech bagging systems and other modern feed manufacturing equipment to improve reliability and performance
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate current operations, recommend improvements, and help prepare the facility for continued growth


Qualifications


  • At least 10 years of progressive feed manufacturing leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success managing daily operations within a commercial feed manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of modern feed mill equipment, manufacturing processes, and production flow
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop production teams through coaching and instruction
  • Experience improving manufacturing efficiency, equipment utilization, and operational execution
  • Strong working knowledge of feed quality standards and production troubleshooting
  • Ability to build trust, collaborate with existing employees, and lead through influence rather than disruption
