Plant Manager - Feed Mill

Our client, a well-established company in the feed manufacturing industry, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead daily operations at their feed mill.

This position carries full responsibility for the facility, spanning production output, logistics, equipment upkeep, and customer relationships. The Plant Manager sets the tone for the operation through hands-on leadership across safety, throughput, and team development, building an environment where employees stay and customers return.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop the workforce through hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management
• Direct batch manufacturing, pelleting, grain processing, and truck/rail logistics across the site
• Track inventory positions and oversee quality assurance protocols across all production runs
• Champion a workplace culture rooted in safety, ownership, curiosity, and mutual respect
• Run the QC testing program and report findings to the operations manager and quality manager
• Uphold Safe Feed/Safe Food certification standards and ensure full compliance with current GMPs
• Maintain housekeeping standards, equipment condition, and grain quality throughout the facility

Qualifications:

• Feed mill supervisory experience preferred
• Hands-on background in batch manufacturing, pelleting, grain handling, and rail/truck logistics
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts with the ability to juggle competing priorities
• Proven leadership presence with a history of building cohesive teams and reducing turnover
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Degree in Ag Engineering or Feed/Milling Science is a plus
