Senior Controller

Our client is seeking a seasoned finance executive to lead the consolidation of administrative and accounting functions for a growing portfolio of diverse businesses. This strategic individual will act as the primary authority for the parent organization, establishing a unified reporting framework while serving as a high-level advisor to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

• Directing the integration of accounting activities for multiple subsidiary companies into a centralized parent structure
• Serving as the principal point of contact for external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance across all entities
• Partnering with the CFO to influence corporate financial strategy and high-level decision-making processes
• Authoring comprehensive financial statements that reflect the combined health of the parent and its affiliates
• Overseeing complex ERP system management to maintain data integrity following recent software upgrades
• Providing mentorship to decentralized accounting personnel to improve professional standards and consistency
• Analyzing financial performance across various business units to identify operational efficiencies and savings
• Guiding the organization through transition periods involving the absorption of new administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

• Extensive career history demonstrating leadership in senior-level corporate accounting or controller positions
• Proven expertise managing large-scale enterprise resource planning systems including SAP
• Certified Public Accountant designation with an advanced degree in accountancy or a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating mergers and acquisitions from a financial reporting perspective
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with general managers across different operational sites
• Deep knowledge of GAAP standards within manufacturing or complex supply chain environments
• Ability to manage diverse fiscal priorities without requiring direct departmental staff oversight
• Capacity for on-site collaboration in the Rockford region to facilitate close partnership with executive leadership
