Sr. Feed Ingredient Trader

Our client, a well-established company in the Southeastern feed industry, is seeking a Senior Feed Ingredient Trader to take ownership of soybean meal and rail-delivered ingredient purchasing while growing into a broader trading role.

This is a destination market built on rail, serving dairies and beef cattle operations across North Florida, South Georgia, southeast Alabama, and southwest South Carolina. The right trader will manage flat price and futures risk, run rail logistics, and build direct relationships with suppliers and end users.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of soybean meal and feed ingredient purchasing across the Southeast
• Manage rail-delivered flows of corn, soybean meal, and corn co-products
• Trade flat price and manage futures risk tied to the physical book
• Coordinate with operations, sales, and commercial teams on execution and margin
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; periodic travel to visit farm and feed yard customers
• Grow into the cattle side of the business over time

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of feed ingredient or agricultural commodity trading experience
• Working knowledge of rail logistics and destination market execution
• Proven experience managing flat price and futures positions
• Ability to run a trading book independently, not just sell product
• Southeast market experience preferred but not required
